Criminal street gang based in Miami, Florida, founded by Haitian immigrants in 1990. Initially formed as a vigilante self-defense group against attacks on Haitian Americans, it evolved into a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, robbery, murder, prostitution, and racketeering. The gang expanded across Florida and other states, with territory reaching as far as Virginia by 2006. In 2009, six leaders were arrested on racketeering charges.
