The Trafficante crime family is an Italian American Mafia crime family based in Tampa, Florida, founded around 1920 by Ignacio Antinori. It was notably led by Santo Trafficante Jr., who was involved with the CIA in plots to assassinate Fidel Castro. After his death in 1987, Vincent LoScalzo took control. The family is still active, primarily in the Tampa Bay area and throughout Florida.
