The Taishu-kai is a yakuza organization based in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, with an estimated 60 active members. It was formed around 1954 by Kuniharu Ota as the Ota Group, later renamed Ota-gumi, and finally Taishu-kai in 1973. It is one of five independent Fukuoka-based designated yakuza syndicates and a member of the anti-Yamaguchi-gumi Yonsha-kai federation.
