The Sabaot Land Defence Force (SLDF) was a guerrilla militia operating in the Mount Elgon District of Kenya from 2005 to 2008. It drew members from the Sabaot people and was accused of killing over 600 people, committing atrocities including murder, torture, and rape, and displacing more than 66,000 people. The group was funded by local taxation and had a parallel administration system. It was led by Wycliffe Matakwei Komon and was dismantled by 2008.
