A powerful Russian criminal organization based in Moscow, active from the late 1980s to early 2000s. Founded in 1988 by Sergey Timofeev, it consisted mainly of young former athletes. The gang was involved in extortion, racketeering, money laundering, and murder, and is believed responsible for at least 6,800 murders. It split into warring factions in 1994 and was eventually absorbed by the Solntsevskaya Bratva.
