The Nuova Camorra Organizzata (NCO) was an Italian Camorra criminal organization founded in the late 1970s by Raffaele Cutolo in Campania. It was a structured, hierarchical group that engaged in racketeering, drug trafficking, and extortion, becoming one of the most powerful criminal organizations in Italy by 1981. The NCO was hostile to the Sicilian Mafia but allied with 'Ndrangheta clans. It was considered extinct by the late 1980s after many members were killed or imprisoned.
