The Loielo are a 'ndrina of the 'Ndrangheta based in Ariola, a frazione of Gerocarne, in the province of Vibo Valentia, Calabria. Their criminal activities include extortion and drug trafficking. They rose to power in the 1970s and were allied with the Maiolo family until a decade-long feud in the 1990s, which they won. In the 2000s, they lost dominance to the Emanuele family. The group was largely dismantled by the 2012 'Light in the Woods' operation.
