A Puerto Rican street gang based in Brooklyn, New York, active from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. Formed in 1957 by youths from the Fort Greene Housing Project, initially as the Mau Mau Chaplains. Known for its violent conflicts and the leadership of Nicky Cruz, who later became a Christian evangelist. The gang engaged in drug trafficking, murder, and other criminal activities.
