The Mamak Gang is a notorious Malaysian criminal organization active since the early 1990s. Initially specializing in breaking into factories and warehouses, they later shifted to carjacking and robbing motorists. They are most infamous for stealing RM 12 million worth of gold bars from the Malaysia Airlines cargo complex in 1994. Despite multiple arrests and preventive detention, members continued operations from prison until the gang's dissolution in December 2006.
