Los Negros was the main armed wing of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel in Mexico, formed in 2003 by Marcos Arturo Beltrán Leyva, Alfredo Beltrán Leyva, and Edgar Valdez Villarreal. Initially supporting the Sinaloa Cartel against the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, it later allied with Los Zetas after a split with Sinaloa. The group was led by Edgar Valdez Villarreal and involved in drug trafficking, murder, and extortion across multiple Mexican states. Following Valdez's arrest in 2010, the group fragmented into smaller independent cells.
