It is responsible for drug trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, and violence, particularly against indigenous communities. The group has been allied with the Beltrán Leyva Cartel and later Guerreros Unidos, and has been in conflict with the Cártel de los Rojos and other groups. Despite the arrest and killing of its founder, the group remains active as of the present.
