Irish-American street gang based in New Orleans, formed in 1858 by 'Red' Bill Wilson. Named after their oaken clubs, they dominated the city's underworld in the 1860s-70s, committing assault, arson, and vandalism for hire. Internal conflict and law enforcement led to their decline by 1880.
