Hispanic street gang founded in Chicago in 1954 by Puerto Ricans and other Latin American immigrants. Initially a mutual aid group, it evolved into a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, robbery, and murder. The gang has two main factions: King Motherland Chicago and Bloodline, with an estimated 20,000-35,000 members in the KMC faction. It operates across the United States and has international presence in Canada, Ecuador, Italy, and Spain.

The Latin Kings in Spain were founded in Madrid in February 2002 by Ecuadorian national Eric Javier Vara Velastegui. Branches then followed in Barcelona , Valencia and Murcia .
