Lashkar-e-Taiba is a Pakistani Islamist jihadist militant organization founded in 1985-1986 by Hafiz Saeed and others. It seeks to merge Kashmir with Pakistan and destroy India, Hinduism, and Judaism through jihad. Designated as a terrorist group by the UN and many countries, it is responsible for major attacks including the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The group is supported by Pakistan's ISI and operates primarily in Kashmir and globally.
