Indo-Canadian organized crime consists predominantly of young adults and teenagers of Indian ethnic background, primarily Punjabi-Canadians. These groups are among the top five homegrown organized crime hierarchies in Canada, ranked third after Chinese Triads and Hells Angels. They are involved in various criminal activities including drug trafficking, money laundering, murder, and extortion. The organization emerged in the 1980s, partly fueled by Sikh separatist movements supporting Khalistan.
