The Green Street Counts were a street gang in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, active in the early 1950s. Their turf centered at 21st and Green Streets, and they specialized in armed robbery, kidnapping, and weapons dealings. A separate, unaffiliated group also operated under the same name in West Philadelphia. Member Joseph 'Blackie' Battel received a life sentence for a robbery murder, later commuted.
