One of the earliest crime families in New York City, based in Manhattan's Little Italy. Originally a crew of the Morello family, it broke off in the 1910s under Salvatore D'Aquila and absorbed remnants of the Brooklyn Camorra. It was a predecessor of the modern Gambino crime family and was active until D'Aquila's murder in 1928, after which it was taken over by Manfredi Mineo.
