Mexican drug trafficking and methamphetamine producing cartel founded in 1988 by José de Jesús Amezcua Contreras and his brothers. Based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, it controlled the methamphetamine trade using precursor chemicals from Asia. The cartel was absorbed into the Sinaloa Cartel and became defunct by 2005.
