It is structured into individual clans, each led by a boss, and is involved in drug trafficking, racketeering, counterfeiting, and money laundering. The organization has a strong presence in other European countries, particularly Spain, and maintains close ties with South American drug cartels. Currently, the most powerful groups are the Mazzarella clan and the Secondigliano Alliance.
