The Axe Gang was a militant organisation active in Shanghai and surrounding areas of the Republic of China during the early 20th century. Originating among Anhui migrant workers, it evolved from labour mobilisation into a faction involved in political violence and assassinations amid the Warlord Era and early Nationalist period. Its most prominent leader was Wang Yaqiao. The gang declined after Wang's assassination in 1936.
