The Aryan Brotherhood is a neo-Nazi prison gang and organized crime syndicate based in the United States, founded in 1964 at San Quentin State Prison. It has an estimated 15,000–20,000 members both inside and outside prisons, engaging in drug trafficking, extortion, murder-for-hire, and other criminal activities. The gang is whites-only and operates under a hierarchical structure with a twelve-man council and a three-man commission. It is considered one of the oldest and most notorious racist prison gangs in the U.S.
