Chicago street gang formed in the late 1950s on the north side, originally from a Greek greaser gang. The name originally stood for 'Protecting Our People Eliminating Spics' but later changed to 'scum'. The gang split into north and south factions, with the north side allied with Folk Nation and the south side with People Nation. Active in Chicago with rivalries against Latin Kings and other gangs.
