The 116th Street Crew is a faction of the Genovese crime family based in East Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. Founded in the 1890s by the Morello crime family, it was originally known as the 116th Street Mob. Under caporegime Anthony Salerno in the 1960s, the crew operated from the Palma Boys Social Club. It absorbed members of the East Harlem Purple Gang in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The crew remains active in racketeering, murder, extortion, illegal gambling, loansharking, and bookmaking.
